Accountancy-Graduate Trainee

This professional firm of Chartered Accountants based in London’s West End is currently recruiting a accountancy/finance graduate to commence their training programme in September 2010.

The successful candidate will receive excellent all round experience in bookkeeping, accounts preparation, tax and related financial matters.

Candidates will train towards the ACA professional qualification and full study support will be provided.

Initially, training will be provided in basic accountancy, bookkeeping, VAT and Payroll working both on individual and corporate clients to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of these areas.

On achieving competence in these areas the candidate will move on to work in a team dealing with the preparation of year end accounts for partnership and limited liability clients. As their experience grows and their studies progress their responsibilities will increase to include initial preparation of company tax returns and assisting on client audits.

Essential criteria

2.1 Degree or above Accountancy/Business
Minimum of 3 A levels at grade B or above

Personal attributes

Good IT skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to develop team and client relationships
Be committed to studying evenings and weekends
